The United Auto Workers (UAW) have called for building toward a General Strike in 2028. Our Network is dedicated to preparing workers and community allies through education, disciplined escalation, and solidarity infrastructure for this fight and those that will follow.

What we’re building

• Worker‑led, movement‑wide power grounded in transformative solidarity (not short‑term, transactional organizing).
• An escalation campaign that steadily grows capacity: outreach → training → coordinated actions → mass participation.
• Strike readiness: legal education, mutual‑aid and childcare planning, picket logistics, media training, and safety culture.
• Community bridges: unions, non‑union workers, students, faith groups, and grassroots allies moving together.

Get plugged in

1) Join the General Stike Working Group.
email essn@solidaritynetwork.org to join the GSWG and help us build toward a true general strike.

2) Join the Monthly General Strike Support Meeting on zoom. This is an opportunity to plug in with the GSWG and to know what they are working on and stay updated on what is happening. The Support Meeting is on zoom every second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm.
