ESSN also known as the Network is made up of Union Locals, Student Groups, Faith Groups, Grassroots Organizations, as well as individual activist and organizers all working together in solidarity to support each other and to fight for the rights of all workers, especially the right to a good job, a decent standard of living, and the Right to Organize.

The Network Steering Committee meets the first Thursday of every month this is a hybrid meeting both in person and via zoom. This meeting is for network members to provide updates on upcoming actions and events.

Standard Agenda

1. Greetings from Facilitator:
   • Ground Rules
   • Presentations (if scheduled)
   • Note: The Steering Committee may make modifications to the agenda
2. Reports from Member Organizations:
   • The organization’s representative will provide their name and organization and a 2-minute brief on any upcoming actions, events, or campaigns for the next 30 to 60 days as well as any requests for the network.
3. Board, Committee, & Working Group Reports:
   • The report will be kept to a 2-minute briefing and more detailed reports can be included in the record as addendums.
4. General Discussion:
   • Facilitator with the approval of the Steering Committee may modify the general discussion format if there is a large number of members and public wishing to engage in the discussion.
5. Moral, Welfare, and Recreation:
   • This is where members share personal milestones (like birthdays, promotions, or celebrations, Morale events such as barbeques, or softball games, and discuss support needed if someone is injured, ill, or has passed away
6. Conclusion and adjournment.
